Our Story

It started with a nickname.

My husband has a gift for falling asleep anywhere — mid-conversation, mid-movie, mid-couch. So I started calling him aegi boji, a playful mix of "baby" and "grandpa" in Korean, because somehow he managed to be both at the same time. When we decided to turn our love of coffee into something real, the name just fit. We translated into Bambi Nonno so the rest of the world could say it too — but the meaning behind it has always been the same.

What really brought this to life, though, was a simple habit he never broke. No matter how late he'd stayed up or how early he had to rush out the door, he always made me coffee in the morning.  That kind of quiet, everyday love is exactly what we wanted this brand to feel like.

We've always been coffee people — the kind who disappear down rabbit holes researching different roasts and single origins just for the fun of it. And wherever we traveled, hunting down the best local coffee spots was always on the itinerary. From tiny neighborhood cafés to hidden gems halfway across the world, every cup taught us something new and deepened our appreciation for the craft.

After years of experimenting, exploring, and falling more in love with coffee at every turn, starting our own store felt like a natural next step.

Bambi Nonno Coffee is our love for each other and of coffee, all in one bag. We hope it brings a little of that warmth into your morning too.
